WaveWorks: Navigating WaveWorks Learn as a Manager

Viewing Your Team's Learning Items & Status

Navigate to [WaveWorks](https://waveworks.tulane.edu)

Click "My Team"

Click Learning

Here, you get a quick snapshot of your employees enrollments.

Click on one of them to see which courses they need to complete.

You can view the list of courses, along with their due dates (for required courses) and enrollment dates (for voluntary courses), as well as their enrollment status. You can also see that two courses are listed as overdue.

You can also view by list of learning items, rather than employees.

In this view, you can see the current learning items for all your direct reports (as indicated by the filters), the number of them enrolled in each course, and a notice for overdue and upcoming due items. Click on one of the courses to see which employees are enrolled in that course.

Click the reports filter

If your direct reports have direct reports of their own, use the "All reports" filter to see everyone under your leadership.

Click away to refresh the filter.

Use the enrollments filter to filter by completion status.

**Current**: not started / incomplete enrollments **Completed**: completed courses **All**: all courses

Use the Enrollment Status filter to drill deeper into the enrollments filter

Click the status(es) you wish to filter by.

Use the Enrollment Type filter to show voluntary vs required enrollments.

Print/Save Your Employee's Transcript

Navigate to <https://waveworks.tulane.edu>

Navigate to the 'My Team' application

Select a team member from the list

Click "View Transcript"

Click 'Submit' to confirm the date range and view the transcript

Assign Learning Items to Your Team

Click "Search"

Click the "Search for learning" field and type a title, topic, or keyword that you're looking for.

Click search.

Click one of the courses to expand details about it.

Read the short description and continue. Or, if this one isn't what you need, click the X to look for other courses.

Click on another course.

Click Assign to My Team, or learn more first.

Clicking Learn More will give you a longer description of the course and additional information. Clicking Enroll here will enroll yourself in the course.

Click the Actions button to get more options.

Click "Assign Learning to My Team"

Complete the form to assign this learning item to your team member(s). Click the assignment type dropdown.

Assigned courses can be required or voluntary. For this course, we're going to assign it as required.

Click the start date field. The start date is when you want the assignment to begin and your direct report(s) to receive a notification. *If you leave this field blank, it will be assigned immediately.*

Select the date. You can do today's date or future date it.

Since this assignment is required, you must also assign a due date. Click the "Due Date" field.

Select a due date. We recommend giving your direct report 2-4 weeks to complete an assigned learning. *"Due date" is a required field for required assignments, but not for voluntary assignments.*

Now we're going to decide who this learning item is assigned to. Click the dropdown to get started.

**Person**: allows you to assign to your direct report(s) **Directs**: allows you to assign to your direct reports ***and*** their direct reports **Organization**: allows you to assign to your direct reports ***and*** anyone who falls under their hierarchy

For this example, we will assign it to just direct reports. Click the "Person" field and start typing in a name.

Select the direct report

Click "Add" to add another

Click "Person" and start typing a name

Click to add a note to your team.

Click "Assign" when ready.

Let's assign another one. Click the course you'd like to assign.

Click "Assign to My Team"

Click the "Assignment Type" dropdown.

Let's do a voluntary assignment this time. Click Voluntary
