Go to [https://zapier.com/app/zaps](https://zapier.com/app/zaps) to start building your Zap

Click "Create Zap"

In your Trigger, select "Slack" as your App Event

In your Trigger Event, select "New Channel"

Add a filter as a next step using "Filter by Zapier"

Only add the right channels into Channeled by filter on a format for the channel name. In this case, we're only going to add channels to the inbox that contain "waystar"

Add a step and select "Channeled" as your App Event

Select "Connects a Customer Channel" as the Action Event

Map the value from Step 1: Name into the "Channel Name" input

Add another step and select "Channeled" as your App Event

Select "Update a Customer Channel" as your Action Event

Under Customer Name, select the prior Name populated from Step 3.

Under Owner Name, type in the specific name of a team member in Slack who you want to assign the Customer to.
