Define the company Goals hierarchy.

Navigate to "Goals".

Click "+" next to Company goals.

Name your goal.

Indicate the "Time period".

Remember to add the collaborators that will work towards the achievement of this goal.

Indicate the "Update method".

Click "Save goal".

Expand and view up to 4 layers of Goals hierarchy from your organization or any team’s Goals page. Goals can be linked as parent or sub-goals, to create a goal hierarchy, and supporting work can be added to make the connection between goals and work clear.

Click "+ Connect a sub-goal".

Click "sub-goal #1"

Build charts in reporting to see how goals are progressing across the business.

Asana can now allow Executives and Senior Leaders have a bird’s eye view into the status of their organization’s goals, real-time visibility into progress against strategic initiatives, and actionable insights to make business decisions. Navigate to Asana > Reporting.

Click "+ Add dashboard".

Scroll to "Goals" to create the charts you need in your reportings.

Once you set all the filters, click "Create".

Enhanced goals in project overview.

See important goal information at a glance now that goals are more prominent in the project overview.

Navigate to the "Overview" tab of the project.

Follow up on the goals connected with the project and their progress.

Click "Goals"

Goals status reminders and status updates.

Reminders help you keep your Goals up to date and ensure that stakeholders have an accurate picture of how they’re progressing. Built-in reminders will prompt you to add a progress metric, add updates, and close out a Goal one week before its due date. 🆕 Request a status update from the Goal detail page, so the Goal owner is prompted to keep the goal up-to-date with the latest status. 🆕 Get goal update reminders every two weeks. Navigate to Goals.

Click in the goal you've been assigned to.

Indicate the Status to report: • On track. • At risk. • Off track.

Add written status updates to Goals and see previous status updates, and then toggle on "Remind me to update status: Biweekly".

Click "Post" when finish the report.

Keep the conversation with comments on goals.

Post comments directly on the Goal details page to ask questions, enable conversations, or provide additional information. 🆕 With Comment only goals, team leaders can gain confidence that only the right people can edit company and team goals.
