From the Home Screen, Click "Admin"

You are now in your new GA4 property. We will need to configure a few things before we are ready. In the "Data collecting" tab, click the arrow to pop out the menu.

Under the "Events" tab, make sure "Enhanced measurements" are checked on, then click the Cog icon.

1. Install the GA4 property code directly onto your website using the "tag instructions".
2. Add the GA4 property through Google Tag Manager using the "Measurement ID".

Now that you have added your GA4 property code to your website, we can continue the property setting configuration. Hit the 'x' icon to head back to the settings menu.

Be sure the mark the "Collect website and app data" task as complete.

Under "Property settings" in the "Turn on Google Signals" tab, click the arrow icon to bring up the menu options.

Clicks "Manage Google Signals" and follow the activation steps.

Once Google Signals has been turned on, come back to the Setup Assistant and mark that task as complete.
Now moving on, open the menu options for the "Setup conversions" tab.

If the option "Import from Universal Analytics" appears, click it.
If it doesn't, we can mark it as complete and move on.

Moving down to the "Define audience" tab, open the menu options by clicking the arrow icon.

If you had audiences set up in Universal Analytics, select "Import from Universal Analytics" and follow the import steps.
If you didn't have any audiences defined in UA, select "Mark as complete".

Now we have configured our Property settings, we can link our Google Ads account.
Under "Google Ads", click the arrow icon to open the menu. Then select "Manage Google Ads link" and follow the Google Ads linking steps.

Once your Google Ads account is linked, come back to the Setup Assistant and mark "Bid on GA4 conversions" and "target ads on GA4 audiences" as complete.

That is it! Your new Google Analytics 4 is now setup and configured to collect all your website data. Importantly, it is connected to your old Universal Analytics account so that historical data can be reported on.
