Go to <https://www.ticketfalcon.com/> to sign in with your existing account or register for a new one.
Once signed in, click "Manage Seating Charts" from the right hand links menu.
If you are creating your first seating chart, click the "Create Workspace" button to start the process.
Note: If you created a workspace in the past, you will see your existing seating charts on this page.
Click "Create New Seating Chart" to create your first seating chart.
Enter a name for your seating chart in the "Seating Chart Name" field.
Click "Save & Create New Seating Chart" to start the process of creating your seating chart.
Click "Row tool" to draw seats on the seating chart.
You can also draw tables, booths, general admission areas and more.
Click on the seating chart to draw your first row of seats.
Our seating designer has a tutorial that provides information about using the tool. It will appear automatically on your first visit to the seating chart designer. You can also access the tutorial by clicking the question mark in the upper right-hand corner of the seating designer.
Once you draw your first row of seats, you can click any space on the seating chart to draw additional rows.
Continue drawing rows until you complete your seating chart.
Click on the category edit icon to add categories to the seating chart.
Categories are required to group seats. Grouping seats via categories enables you to assign ticket types and prices accordingly when creating tickets via the create/edit ticket types page (as seen in a later step).
Click on "Create new category" and enter the category name in the text field.
The category name should help you and ticket buyers know the types of seats they are—for example, main floor, balcony, mezzanine, reserved seating, VIP, etc. The reserved seating category will appear on the event page to make it easier for ticket buyers to select seats. You can create as many categories as you'd like. Note: The reserved seating category and the ticket type name (from the create/edit ticket types page) do not have to be unique. You can use the same name if needed. For example, the category could be called main floor, and the ticket type name associated with this category could also be called main floor.
Once categories are created, highlight/select seats on the seating chart to assign categories to.
Only one category can be assigned to each seat. If you forgot a category or want to add a new one, you can do so at any time by repeating the add categories process as seen above.
Once seats are selected, click on "Manage" to assign a category.
Click on the category from the drop down menu.
Check the chart validations section to ensure all items in red are addressed before completing your seating chart.
All seating chart validations must be resolved (in green) to assign the seating chart to an event. Seating charts save in real-time.
Note: After creating an initial draft of the seating chart, subsequent changes will be saved as a draft. You must click the publish button on the seating chart to show these updates on the live version of the seating chart.
Once all seating chart validations are resolved, ensure all updates are published and click the "Back to Chart List" button.
Click "Create Event" to assign your seating chart to a new event. If there are no seating chart validations, you can assign the seating chart to your event.
Note: If there are seating chart validation errors, you will not be able to correctly assign the seating chart to your event.
Complete the required event fields on the Create/Edit event page.
At the bottom of the Create/Edit event page, click the "Reserved Seating" button to assign the seating chart you created to your event.
Click the "Reserved Seating Chart" dropdown to select the seating chart you previously created.
Seating charts cannot be changed once assigned and saved to an event.
Click the "Include Link to View-Only Seating Chart" field to show a view-only seating chart link on your event page.
The view-only seating chart enables ticket buyers to see the seating chart before selecting tickets.
Click the "Save & Create Tickets" button to save your event and move to the Create/Edit Tickets page.
Click "Add Ticket link"to create ticket types for your reserved seating event.
Reserved seating ticket types must be created first by choosing a category from the seating category drop-down.
Seating categories were assigned when creating the seating chart. Seating categories are a collection of seats on the seating chart which can be assigned a specific price. Only one price can be assigned to a seating category. Note: Reserved seating is only available with paid ticket types. The Seating category will only appear with paid ticket types should the categories be unassigned.
General admission ticket types can be created once all seating categories (reserved seats) are assigned to a paid ticket type. Reserved seating events can have general admission that the ticket buyer has to select from via the seating chart. General admission ticket types can be selected without selecting a seat from the seating chart.
Fill in the remaining ticket type fields.
    Click "Save Ticket" when done.
Click "Save & Publish" to make your event live.
Congratulations, you successfully created a reserved seating event. You can use the above process to edit your event as well.
Once seats have been booked on a reserved seating chart/event, it is essential not to make significant modifications to these seats on the seating chart. Ticket buyers purchased specific seats and expect the seats they purchased. Feel free to [contact us](https://www.ticketfalcon.com/contact-us/) should you have any questions.
