CASA/LA Guide to Completing and Tracking Continuing Education Hours in Litmos

1. Getting Started with Litmos

Before you can start logging your education hours, it’s important to gain access to the Litmos platform.

2. Log Independent Continuing Education Hours (for volunteers)

To ensure that you are recognized for your learning, you need to log your independent continuing education hours in Litmos.

How to Log Hours

• Navigate to the 'Independent Continuing Education' learning path from your Litmos dashboard.

• Select the course that matches the amount of time you spent on your CE

• Fill in the required fields, including the date, duration, and a brief description of what you learned.

3. View Recorded In-Service Trainings

In addition to logging independent hours, you can also participate in recorded in-service training sessions.

Accessing Recorded Trainings

• Go to the 'In-Service Trainings' learning path from your Litmos dashboard.

• Browse the available recorded sessions, listed chronologically

• Click on a training to view the recording along with any other available training materials

• When you complete a recording, it will be marked as completed and the corresponding CE hours will be added to your "Achievements"

4. Tracking Your Progress

You can easily keep track of all your logged hours and completed trainings in one place.

• Log into Litmos

• Click on the "Achievements" section in the menu

• Review your list of achievements. Your total points should match the number of CE hours you have completed.
