This step-by-step guide to help you get your team up and running on Swimcloud. To get the most out of Swimcloud all meet results should be submitted to Swimcloud so that your swimmer's times can be recognized.
At a minimum, you need to create a Swimcloud coach account and submit your meet results. Optionally, you can make use of the various tools that Swimcloud offers for coaches, teams, and swimmers.
Registering as a coach will allow Meet Administrators and Regional Administrators to get in touch with you. Register for your Swimcloud coach profile here: www.swimcloud.com/register
Register as a Swimcloud coachOnce you are registered, you can, and should, add the rest of your coaching staff to your team. Here's how:
Coaches On Swimcloud - Add, Edit & RemoveOnce you have your coaching staff correct, the next step would be to update your meet schedule.
It is recommended that if you are hosting the meet, you should create the meet and add your opponents. Adding opponents will automatically put the meet on their schedule.

With Swimcloud, there is absolutely no need to run your team with pencil and paper or even Hy-Tek's Team Manager on a single computer. However, if you want to use Hy-Tek Team Manager or some other team management platform, that is fine as well. Swimcloud works with all platforms.
If you want to use Swimcloud for team management and meet entries, you need to have an accurate roster. Here's how:
Swimcloud Roster Management
If you are going to use Hy-Tek's Team Manager, and you attend a meet that accepts entries on Swimcloud or is run on Swimcloud's Meet Manager, you need to be aware of how Swimcloud handles swimmer data and how it will affect your Team Manager database.

Meet entries with Swimcloud are very easy and intuitive. As a meet administrator, you can use Swimcloud to accept your meet entries. Coaches of teams attending your meet can do their entries directly on Swimcloud, or, they can upload an entry file. Entries are "hidden" from other teams until after the entry deadline.
If you are attending a meet that requires an entry file, Swimcloud has you covered. You can complete your entries on Swimcloud and export an entry file to email to the meet host the old-fashioned way.
Here's how:
Swimcloud Meet Entries
Some swim meet entries may be verified and conducted on Swimcloud. Therefore, all of your team's meet results must be submitted to Swimcloud.
Swimcloud processes Hy-Tek meet result files and also has the ability to accept manually entered meet results.
Upload or email result files to Swimcloud
If you are running your meet without a timing system and need to create meet results manually, please refer to this step-by-step guide.
Swimcloud Meet - Manual TimesWhat good are meet results and meet entries if you still have to use an old-fashioned meet manager?!
Swimcloud has created a very powerful, yet, completely simple and intuitive meet manager. It is so easy, you can grab a swim parent from the stands and show them how to run it very quickly.
