Q: Do Tax IDs need to be unmasked for new or transfer applications?

A: Yes. Tax IDs must be unmasked when processing new or transfer applications.

Q: Can new customers sign applications via DocuSign?

A: Yes. New customers can sign applications using DocuSign.

Q: If intended acreage appears on the application but not on the policy confirmation, is the application still valid?

A: Yes, the application is still valid. Per the CIH if the acreage report has a block clearly entitled “Intended Acreage”.

Beginning Farmer/Rancher (BFR) and Substantial Beneficial Interest (SBI)

Q: Does a spousal policy require a BFR form for the spouse?

A: Yes. Each spouse must complete a separate BFR application.

Q: If the policyholder is a business entity, do individual members also need BFR forms?

A: Yes. All individuals associated with the business must complete their own BFR form.

Q: Can a BFR form be prepopulated with SBI information?

A: Yes. Like MPCI applications, BFR/VFR applications can be prepopulated with SBI data and then signed.

Q: Can a processor cancel a temporary policy if the insured does not sign the application?

A: Yes. If the policy is still in “Estimate” status, it may be deleted.

Q: Can processors enter an Assignment of Indemnity?

A: No. Assignments of Indemnity must be approved and entered by an underwriter.

Q: Why do only EU/EI unit structures appear on the application?

A: Enterprise Unit (EU) and Enterprise Unit by Irrigation (EI) are the only unit structures required at the application stage. Basic Units (BU) and Optional Units (OU) are determined later during acreage reporting and are generated automatically.

Q: Can BU or OU unit structures be added manually?

A: They may be noted if desired, but manual entry is not required.

Q: Can coverage be changed mid-season for Spring or Winter crops?

A:· For dual-season policies: Spring coverage may be changed only if no acres were planted under the Winter coverage.

· For all other policies: Coverage cannot be changed after the Sales Closing Date (SCD) once the application has been submitted.

Q: Does “Spring type” wheat include Spring Wheat, Durum, and Khorasan?

A: Yes. All of these are considered Spring-type wheat.

Q: What happens if you skip the APH recalculation?

A: AgriNet will not automatically rate APHs upon saving. To manually rate the policy:

Q: Where can I find the “Unlock” option?

1. Navigate to the Crop Summary section in AgriNet

Q: Are there upcoming webinars on entering APHs?

A: Yes. You can register using the link below:

Keying Acreage into AgriNet and Mapping system Q & A 5/13/2026

Q: When CART data is imported, will it be removed from the Available CART Data report? Additionally, if updates are later made at the FSA office, will those changes reappear on the report?

Yes. Once a CART data line has been processed, it is removed from the Available CART Data report. If all data lines are processed, the grower will no longer appear on the report. However, any subsequent updates or changes made at the FSA office will be reflected in CART and will reappear on the report.

Q: In CART, is filtering limited to CLU only?

No. Users can also sort and filter by FSN/Tract/Field, Crop, Practice, Acres, Plant Date, and other columns.

Q: What should be done if Precision Ag data does not match 578 data?

Precision Ag data and 578 data will not always match exactly. For reporting purposes, Precision Ag data or planting maps take precedence.

Q: If Precision Ag data takes precedence, is it necessary for 578 data to match?

No. Precision data and planting maps become the source documentation and will be used for verification if needed.

Q: Where does mapping acreage originate, and must it match 578 records exactly?

Mapping acreage is derived from precision equipment and farm management systems. It does not need to exactly match 578 data.

Q: Why might acreage differ between source systems and calculated mapping acreage?

Differences occur due to how systems convert planting data into field shapes and account for overlaps and turn rows. The goal is to remain within 1% of the source data.

Q: Must acreage be distributed evenly across fields?

No. Extra acreage can be assigned to a single CLU or distributed across multiple CLUs.

Q: What is the difference between the Tractor and Intersect options?

Tractor assigns all acres from a shape to one CLU, while Intersect distributes acres proportionally across multiple CLUs.

Q: What happens when multiple precision shapes cover one field?

Each shape is processed as a separate planting event for that field.

Q1. Are the price numbers live throughout the discovery period?

MPCI Base Prices are loaded into the quoter from the policy and displayed as the default ADM projected price for the acreage lines. These prices appear in the Price fields under the Acreage Lines tab and are shown in the Coverage in Effect section of the PDF quote results.

If commodity prices are still within a Price Discovery Period and a price has been updated within the last day, the PDF report will display "Pending" for that commodity price field.

Any price changes made in the County Commodities tab will update the prices for the acreage lines selected within the quote. These updates will also be reflected in the price sections of the PDF quote results.

Q2. How often are MCO Base Rates updated?

MCO Base Rates are updated daily based on RMA releases. However, there may be up to a 24-hour delay before updates appear in the system.

If more current information is needed, the Override feature allows users to manually enter the latest rate information directly from the MCO website.

Q3. Is Historical Analysis located in the Preference Settings?

Yes. Historical Analysis is located under:

After enabling Historical Analysis, you must select one of the following options:

Once selected, all quotes will include Historical Analysis using the elected option until it is changed.

Q4. Do you have to be in the 2026 Crop Year to quote MCO for 2027?

No. To quote MCO for the 2027 Crop Year, you must select the 2027 Reinsurance Year from the dropdown located next to the search bar at the top of the page.

Q5. Are quotes running off estimates until September 15? Are they valid to quote before then for Corn and Soybeans?

Until the new Crop Year ADM tables are received from the RMA, quotes can still be generated in AgriNet Quoter. However, they will use prior-year ADM tables and pricing information.

As a result, the quotes may not be accurate for the upcoming crop year and should be used with caution until updated ADM data is available.

Q6. My 2027 spring row crop policies are not in the rater for running a Max Estimate. How do I pull their yield history into the system?

2. Open the AgriNet Support Center portal.

4. Complete the required form and submit it.

Once the request has been processed, you will receive an email notification confirming completion.

Q7. When quoting MCO, Winter Wheat shows all zeros, but Spring Wheat quotes correctly. Why?

Winter Wheat is not eligible for MCO coverage.

Only Spring Wheat is eligible for MCO in certain states and counties. Availability varies by location, so refer to the applicable RMA actuarial data to determine eligibility within a specific state or county.

Q8. What information needs to be entered when a new insured wants MCO coverage, but you do not have their underlying MPCI policy?

You do not need to enter all unit information.

To generate a pre-populated application for signature by both the insured and agent by the Sales Closing Date, only the following information is required:

 • Any applicable Supplemental Coverages

The insured must complete the appropriate documentation to transfer their underlying policy on or before the MCO Sales Closing Date. The transfer must be effective for the same crop year as the MCO policy.

• An insured has an RP policy with AIP A for the 2025 crop year.

 • The insured purchases MCO through AIP B for the 2026 crop year on or before September 30, 2025.

 • The MCO endorsement becomes effective for the 2026 crop year.

• The RP policy must be transferred to AIP B on or before September 30, 2025, for the transfer to be effective for the 2026 crop year.

 • AIP A continues servicing the 2025 policy through the end of the 2025 crop year, including claims and production reporting requirements.

This ensures both the underlying MPCI policy and the MCO endorsement are aligned with the same Approved Insurance Provider (AIP) and crop year.

Q: Was the issue resolved where field (farm) names were getting deleted when updating F/T/F from the CLU layer?

A: The FIELD names now roll when you perform the Update F/T/F from the CLU layer. Farm names that come from being attached to a unit will also roll; however, they must be planted to a crop in order to display as labels on maps or reports. For example, if a field has both a corn unit and a soybean unit attached, the Farm Name label will not appear on the map until one of the crops is planted.

Q: Can mapping be used for PRF/AF, or is it only for Multi-Peril?

A: PRF/AF mapping must be completed in the PRF/AF Mapping System on the policy side.

Q: When splitting shapes for irrigation practices (e.g., pivot vs. dryland), does that serve as a record even if it doesn’t exactly match FSA acres?

A: No, these acres can’t be used as hard record. They are not transmitted back to RMA/FSA

A: The CART data typically appears in the system within 24-48 hours of the FSA’s electronic transmission.

Comment: CART appears to update faster than CIMS based on user experience.

Q: How does CART work for landlord policies with multiple tenants?

A: AgriNet will import a separate set of CART data for each insured after they certify with the FSA office.

Q: When adding fields in mapping, are they added to the policy in AgriNet?

A: Yes, all entries in the mapping system will sync with the corresponding policy in AgriNet, and vice versa.

Q: I marked a field as “no longer farming” in AgriNet, but it still appears in mapping. How do I remove it?

A: You will need to select the field in Mapping and delete it if it is no longer needed.

Q: Can insured and uninsured planted fields be shown in different colors?

A: Crop colors can only be customized based on the selected commodity, practice, and type.

Q: Sometimes split fields show as overlapping colors (e.g., corn and another crop). How can this be prevented?

A: To prevent crop colors from combining, the field must be split so each portion can be planted to the desired crop.

Q: If you split a field, does it remain split permanently or just for the current year?

A: Yes, a split shape is considered a custom shape and will roll to the following crop year.

Q: Why does the split tool stop working (grayed out) after creating two units?

A: If a shape is already linked to a unit, you must assign a unit to at least one of the new pieces before completing the split.

Q: Can acreage still be reported/planted from AgriNet (Crop Acreage Line fields tab)?

A: Yes, acreage can be reported from either AgriNet or Mapping.

Q: Can acres be edited after processing is finalized?

A: Finalize can be undone, adjustments made within the 20-day window, and the policy re-finalized.

Q: Where can I find guides or training materials?

A: Visit AgriNet University to access all the training scribes and videos for both AgriNet and Mapping (Bookmark for easy future access.)
