A Scope of Work (SoW) provides businesses and organizations with a research expert’s perspective on the resources, timelines and budget required to successfully undertake an Innovation Challenge.  The Scope of Work serves as an evaluation of a full project’s feasibility.

Academic units are comprised of the hierarchies governing the research capabilities of a higher education institution (HEI) and include faculties, departments, and facilities.

OCIP requests the scoping availability of research experts whose expertise matches the Innovation Challenge submitted by an Ontario business or organization. This form allows experts to indicate their availability to prepare the Scope of Work (SoW) and their interest in participating in the full project if awarded the Scope of Work.

This guide demonstrates how to create and manage HEI users on OCIP. 

This includes creating and inviting new users as well as managing their basic user details, assigned user roles, and data visibility.
