1. Dashboard Overview

The Devices Overview page is your control center:

  • View device status (online/offline).

  • Monitor air quality and sound levels.

  • Search or filter devices by name, location, or type

Use the top-right menu icon to switch between grid and list views.

2. Account Structure: Site vs. Organization

There are two levels of accounts:

  • Site (Child Account) – where devices are registered.

  • Organization (Parent Account) – aggregates all child site data.

You can only register devices at the site level, but they will automatically appear under the organization view.

Click your name in the top right to switch between sites/the organization (if applicable).

3. Adding Devices

To get you started, Triton will add and configure devices for you. But if you ever need to:

  1. Go to Device Management → Add Device.

  2. Enter the Device ID (same as MAC Address)

  3. Or do a bulk upload using the provided Excel template. No colons allowed in Device ID.

How To Add A Device In Triton Cloud

If a device won’t register:

  • Double-check Device ID format (check for o's instead of zero's).

  • Ensure the device isn’t registered to another account (rare).

  • Confirm the firewall allows outbound traffic — most common issue.

4. Renaming Devices, Editing Info, and Updating Firmware

You can rename a device and add room/location descriptions:

  1. Go to the Device Management tab.

  2. Click the Action menu → Edit.

  3. Change the name, location, or description.

  4. It is recommended to set a static IP on the sensors so any network changes, reboots, etc. don't push them offline.

The latest firmware version will be available as an option at the bottom of the screen. Follow these instructions for applying firmware updates.

5. Adding Users and Contacts

There are two types of alert recipients: users and contacts. Users have dashboard access and can receive alerts; contacts only receive alerts and have no dashboard access.

Users come in three roles:
• Admin – full access
• Basic – can manage devices only
• View Only – read-only access

6. Creating Alert Groups (Highly Recommended)

Instead of assigning alerts to individuals, create groups:

  • Easier to manage as staff changes.

  • Customize days and times to receive alerts.

  • No limit to the number of groups.

7. Managing Alerts

Important: By default, most alert types are OFF.

Triton will generally enable the most common alerts (e.g. vape, THC, tampering, aggression - varies by device type), but you must choose others manually.

To Turn On an Alert:

  1. Click the alert widget (blue bell icon means it's active).

  2. Click the gear icon to configure.

  3. Select users/contacts or groups to receive the alert.

  4. Choose how they are notified: app, text, or email.

Copying Settings to Other Devices:

Once an alert setting is configured for one device:

  • Use the Copy This Rule function to apply to other devices.

  • Saves time and ensures consistency.
