This guide shares some helpful resources to assist our newest Users in getting started in FCM.
FCM is accessible on electronic devices such as:
Desktop Computers
Laptops
Tablets & Mobile Devices
FCM works on most browsers, except for Microsoft's Internet Explorer. Users should ensure that their browsers are updated to its most recent version for optimum performance. Some popular browsers used to access the app are listed below:
Google Chrome
Mozilla/Firefox
Safari
Microsoft Edge
β οΈTo ensure FCM remains fully compliant with NYSDOH requirements within the Data Use Agreements (DUA), our security protocols are in place to prevent access to patient health information (PHI) found within FCM outside of the continental United States, as required by the Medicaid data residency mandate. Users attempting to access FCM outside of the continental US may be met with blocked access. If you receive a block notification, please reach out to your supervisor or Health Home for further guidance.
If you're a new User, your Admin should have already done the first step of creating your User Profile in FCM. A User's agency email is typically the username and a place holder password was used. To log in for the first time, follow the Scribe below.
Logging into FCM as a First Time Userπ‘TIP: If you're having trouble receiving FCM generated emails with forgotten password links, locked accounts, MFA codes, or alerts, always be sure to check junk or spam folders. We also encourage Users to notify their IT departments to place our emails ([email protected] or [email protected]) on their whitelist/safe sender list, to avoid emails being placed in a queue or quarantine, which may cause time sensitive emails, like MFA codes, to be delayed.
It's important for Users to set up alternative methods of receiving their MFA Codes. These MFA codes are an extra layer of security when accessing FCM. By default, all Users have the option to receive their codes via email. However, it is encouraged additional methods are set up in the event that emails are not accessible, which happens more often than Users realize. To set up receiving your MFA code as a text message, follow the Scribe below.
Adding Cell Number in User Settingsπ‘TIP: If it's preferred to use an Authenticator App to generate an MFA code, follow the steps in this support article.
π FCM will time out and log a User off of FCM if after 15 minutes, no activity has been captured.
π After 4 failed attempts to sign into FCM, the system will lock the User out. Users must check their inbox, including spam and junk, for an email with a unique link to unlock their account. FCM does not have the ability to unlock Users.
DSP or HH Admins have some additional permissions and access than typical Users. If this is your role, please some additional resources to help get you started.

FCM has a number of resources for our Users, ready at their fingertips! To access our support articles, users can navigate right from FCM, seen in the screenshot below:
The support articles can also be accessed by typing the hyperlink into the browser, https://support.rma.healthcare.
FCM has a training site that all Users can access to practice navigating around FCM before feeling comfortable with documenting within FCM's live production site. This training site has fake member information within. To learn more about how to use this site, check out the support article linked here. Remember to use only fake information (including names, DOBs, CIN numbers, addresses, facility names, etc.) when documenting here for training purposes.
Within our support pages, Users have the ability to view past recorded trainings to help them become familiar with the site. We also encourage Users, new and seasoned, to register and join a live training, conducted every month. Check out our Training Page for more information!
Finally, if Users have any additional questions that our support articles were not able to answer, or would like to share feedback, feel free to send our Help Desk a message! There are two ways Users can reach out to us. The first is submitting a ticket through FCM. See our Scribe below on how to do this.
Submitting a Help Desk ticket via FCMShould Users need to send us encrypted messaging, or just a regular email without having to log into FCM, those messages can be sent to [email protected].
FCM periodically sends mass communication to our Users to announce new features, trainings, alerts, and more. To receive these message, please subscribe here!
We're so glad to have you here and we look forward to supporting your needs within Foothold Care Management! Thank you!
