USG eCampus Faculty SEADS User Guides

New Terminology in the Salesforce/SEADS Portal

Course Offering: A specific course section identified by a combination of the course subject, number, and section code (Example: ENGL-1100-A1G)

Course Connection: The specific enrollment of a student in a course offering. This is what connects students to courses and how you will see students listed within course offerings (course sections). Each course connection has a unique Course Connection ID. (Example: if one student is enrolled in two different courses, this student will have two course connections, each with their own unique course connection ID).

Case: A submitted form. All forms submitted through the SEADS Portal become cases in Salesforce to be worked appropriately by USG eCampus staff. Each submitted form will have a unique case number, which you will see referenced in confirmation emails and listviews within the portal.
