We've made major enhancements to some of our most popular features and hopefully created some new fan favorites. Check out what's new with Scribe!

Introduction

Summer’s almost over… but we’re just getting started!

This month we enhanced some of our most popular features — and hopefully gave you some new favorites to write home about.

In August, we added:

  • Advanced search.
  • A new way to add Scribes to existing Pages.
  • Discontinuing Process Maps.
  • More restrictive sharing & embedding.
  • New, gorgeous social cards.

... or just read on!

Filtered searches 🔎

First up, we rolled out a more powerful way for you to search your Workspace.

As you and your team create more and more Scribes, it's now easier than ever to find them in your Workspace. You can now filter searches by:

  • Author.
  • Applications.
  • Scribe or Page.
  • Keywords in title and description.

Easily identify your Scribe or Page with more details about your search results. Just copy the link from the search results for quick document access!

What Scribes are you looking for? 🧐

Adding Scribes to existing Pages ➕

This one we're especially proud of because it means you're all loving Pages so much.

When we launched Pages, we were hoping it'd be a helpful way for you to easily build stronger process docs. And now, we can integrate it even more with your Scribe experience.

By popular demand, we've rolled out the ability to add a Scribe to an existing Page — directly from that Scribe!

All you need to do is:

  • Click the "Add to Page" button from either the editor settings or the sharing modal.
  • Search for an existing Page.
  • Add the Scribe directly from there.

This gives you two ways to add Scribes to your Pages: from within the Page and from the Scribe itself.

Discontinuing process maps functionality 🌇

Next up: At the end of August we're officially discontinuing our Process Maps functionality.

We’ve always sought out the best way for you to organize multiple Scribes and add additional context. When we built Pages, we quickly learned that it was a better solution to similar problems Process Maps sought to solve.

Pages creates such a quick and easy experience for organizing Scribes with text, media and more, so we're saying goodbye to Process Maps.

And don't worry: while you won't be able to access Process Maps moving forward, all Scribes associated with it are still accessible in your Workspace.

All users with Process Maps have been notified of this change. If you have any questions or concerns at all, please reach out to us at [email protected].

Secure sharing & embedding 🔒

We've rolled out more restrictive sharing settings to allow our users to share and embed Scribes and Pages with only particular viewers.

This is especially helpful if you want to embed Scribes and Pages in other tools, but don’t feel comfortable making these Scribes shareable with a link.

Now, you can set Scribes and Pages to “Shared with Team” or “Shared with Organization." When you embed them into other tools, Scribe will authenticate any viewers so that only those with the right access can view your content.

New, gorgeous social cards 👥

Last but certainly not least, we gave our social cards a big makeover!

When you share a Scribe on a social platform such as LinkedIn or Slack, you’ll notice the accompanying graphics are new and improved! The new social cards now include the tool name, who it was made by, and the title.

As if we needed another excuse to show off your amazing work. 😉

And that's a wrap!

And that’s it for August releases! What another great month.

We’ve got a ton of good stuff planned in the coming weeks, so keep an eye out for more exciting updates, releases and of course... our favorite Scribes. Enjoy the rest of your summer — and of course, feel free to reach out to us at [email protected]
