We're officially in the season of pumpkin spice, sweater weather... and more fantastic Scribe features!

This month we wanted to give Scribe creators better visibility into their Scribe views and engagement.

Because let's be real — we don't create Scribes for fun. We create them because we want to help somebody do a process right.

(But if you are creating Scribes for fun, we love that for you. 🤓)

In September, we added:

In-app notifications 🔔

First up, we rolled out a new notification center. You’ll now get notified every time your Scribe or Page is viewed, favorited or commented on.

This helps you better understand which of your Scribes and Pages are being engaged with and by whom.

This is a personal favorite of ours. There's nothing like the serotonin rush when you see that one of your teammates is viewing your Scribes!

Scribe views 👀

We also rolled out more advanced viewing insights on Scribes and Pages. Creators can now see what team members viewed your Scribe or Page and how recently.

Heads up that these views will only appear for people on your Scribe team — any views by someone not on your Scribe team will be included in the total views.

This helps you feel confident that someone has viewed your Scribe and is up to date on any recent changes. For example:

  • Did you change a critical process in Workday and want to be 100 percent sure your department saw it? Now you know.
  • Are you meeting with a client in 30 minutes and want to make sure they reviewed the training guides you sent over beforehand? Check out the views.

Scribe views take the guesswork out of rolling out new or changed processes. We gotta say we love being in the know.

Favorites ⭐️

We also reimagined our existing "favorite" functionality to include notifications when the creator updates the Scribe. You can now alert teammates of a changed process and keep everyone up-to-date.

This is super helpful for those mission-critical processes that change often.

Favoriting a Scribe or Page also ensures quick access to your most-used Scribes and Pages through our Favorites folder. We recommend favoriting any Scribes that you find yourself coming back to over and over again.

Add images to Pages 🖼

Don't worry — we weren't focused entirely on the viewer/creator relationship in September. We were also making big improvements to existing Scribe functionality.

We made an awesome update to Pages by allowing you to upload images to Pages. We heard from users that uploading screenshots or still images would allow you to create the perfect process doc, so you can now do that by typing a forward slash and selecting “Add image” from the dropdown.

Talk about a pretty picture.

September was huge. We released a lot of new functionality, so if you have any questions at all please reach out at [email protected].

We'll see you next month!
